Laura E. Kenney graduated with an Honors Degree in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario Canada before going on to receive a post-graduate degree in Public Relations from Humber College in Toronto. From there, Laura attended and graduated from Albany Law School in New York. During her time at Albany Law, Laura dedicated herself to representing clients in the law school’s prestigious Law Clinic & Justice Center with a practice order from the highest court in New York. In addition, Laura focused on trial practice and competed in her school’s Senior Prize trial competition.

Upon graduation, Laura relocated to South Florida and took at position at the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office. During her service as an Assistant State Attorney, Laura worked her way up through the office prosecuting hundreds of cases including misdemeanor crimes and domestic violence cases in county court, juvenile offenses from misdemeanors to life felonies and serious adult felony cases. Laura was then appointed to the specialized position of Juvenile Sex Crimes prosecutor in both juvenile and adult court. Before leaving the State Attorney’s office to begin private practice; Laura spent her last year as a prosecutor working on felony domestic violence offenses.

Jean Francis

Jean Francis is an experienced litigation attorney who has spent many years in the courtroom pursuing justice. With over fifteen years of experience specializing in the investigation and prosecution of Juvenile, Domestic Violence, and White Collar Crime cases, as an Assistant State Attorney at the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office, Jean brings her wealth of courtroom experience and strategic legal insight into private practice.

While at the State Attorney’s Office Jean prosecuted hundreds of cases in the Misdemeanor Division, the Felony Division, the White Collar Crime Unit, and the Felony Domestic Violence Unit. Jean made her way up in the office to serve on the leadership team as Deputy Chief of the Juvenile Division where she managed the division and trained other attorneys. Additionally, Jean served as a presenter at seminars to prevent identity theft, at educational career days, and at professional events in Palm Beach County centered around prevention, education, and rehabilitation.

Throughout her career Jean has handled some of the most complex and emotionally charged cases, and she applies that same tenacity and compassion in representing clients in divorce, custody, support, and other legal matters. Known for her thorough preparation, strong advocacy, and balanced approach, Jean is committed to guiding client’s difficult transitions with clarity and care.

Jean earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University. While in law school Jean handled cases in the Family Law Unit at Legal Aid of Palm Beach County as a certified legal intern advocating for clients in divorce, custody, paternity, and support matters. Jean earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Florida Atlantic University and prior to completing her formal education Jean was a victim advocate for many years.
